The stats are probably the least part of the game worked on by the majority of users(for characters). Probably because, like you, they dont know what each value will do exactly to the outcome of battles. This is vital in any release of the game because people will become uninterested if its either too hard, or too easy. This is especially difficult with the addition of items and shops. However, RPG Maker XP(unsure about VX) does have an effective way of controlling this with the battle test. There you can set up scenarios which are likely to occur in the real game to test the outcome of battles, too hard or too easy. I cannot remember what the attributes do off the top of my head. Obviously speed will increased the chance of avoiding an attack(or perhaps the opposite), and strength increases the amount of damage that the player can inflict. But these are all in the help file, so each is useful and has a purpose. All the elements in the game combined make for a tremendous balancing act.

Well enigma, this forum has an extremely small amount of threads and posts in comparison to other forums using the same software. Even with 10 times more, and they dont have the same problems. It does seem like the host. However I concluded that it must be the database tables of the forums. The reason being is that the website and forum use the same database in order for the bridge to work, and the website works fine, there's no lag. So what does that mean? Either its forums database tables, or how the host is running them?

However I may not be able to provide on my end as promised(the script submit component), not until the end of the year at least. I have been thinking of diversifying out of RM, especially emily too, its just about how to go about it which where I'm having trouble. What I have planned though, and had planned for a while, is adding new engines along the main menu of the website and have pages as i've done for the rmxp and rmvx pages. Although the only real updated part of the site is the scripts archive, the other sections are over a year old and need to be updated badly. I hope to add some new engine support here though, hopefully soon. A skin that integrates with the site more. That could be difficult, but I'll try and get a matching a skin. I'll dedicate a day to finding rmxp unlimited a new skin. I think it will take a day to find, edit and setup to use here. I'll try and do this monday, as that is when I have an essay due, a 20 percenter, so that's my weekend.

It is not the host, and it is not a speed issue. It is what we've been calling a "lag", it takes a while for the database to update. That is not entirely accurate, but I dont think I'll explain exactly what it does. There have been numerous topics about this already. I have erased all unessential database entries and tables and tested it using completely original files.

That's just like in france, I hear its a public right to have free tertiary education. The fees are just ridiculous in my opinion, but then again, you should see what they charge international studednts here. Its nearly 10 times as much. Well Pol, good luck in college. The difficulty here is whether you guys believe that these video games influence the player or not. I take developmental psychology at university and here is a quote from my course reader: Going back to the original post, I can't really make a decision whether the penalty is too high. The purpose is obviously to prevent selling R18 games/movies to minors, and would a smaller fine or no prison term "scare" them into obeying these rules as much as the current penalty does? And keep in mind, these are the maximum penalties that can be given. As for the halo article... he clearly has psychological issues. For a start, if you kill you parents for taking away a video game, it is immediately obvious that you will no longer be able to play it for a very long time as a consequence, excluding the time immediately after you kill your parents. @enigma: you may want to paragraph your posts if they are going to be so long or condense them. In my experience, very little members will take the time to read the long posts, unfortunately.

Well I cannot promise you a new skin every 3 weeks, but a can give you a new skin for the forum. By the old one are you referring to "Unlimited Pro" ? I have looked at a few skins in the past so I should be able to find another suitable one. At the moment I am thinking of adding a new one skin instead of replacing the current one, unless everyone really dislikes this one? Is there anything else?

This is a work in progress of a gargoyle-type/alien from the movie signs battler. Its nice and big for you to criticize. I was originally going for an anorexic look(which is where the idea for external ribs came from), but it ended up having a muscly upper body. I haven't done the feet and arms yet. I'm thinking for a weapon of giving him the old long chain with sharp blade attached to it. Thoughts?

I recently saw a tv show discussing stores selling r18 video games to minors(or under 18 years old). A lot of them did sell the games to the minors. This topic is about the consequences of doing so. In NZ, these are the penalties: These values are in NZD, so 10,000NZD = 6,752USD. Okay, are these penalties too high? Are they too low? Is possible imprisonment necessary or even an appropriate penalty for selling R18 games to minors? Since the majority of users are from america, does anyone know the penalties there? Discuss....

It has been a while since any changes or major updates have gone on here at RMXP Unlimited, so I'd like to attempt to get some feedback from members to see what we're doing right and what we're doing wrong. This includes forum AND website. There won't be any polls, just posts by members. This is kind of general, but it would be helpful if you started your posts like this: The things I don't like about RMXP Unlimited are... and The things I like about RMXP Unlimited are... Any and all posts are welcome, no matter how useless they may seem. It would be helpful to compare opinions between old and new members too. Also don't be afraid to mention management, if you dont like how I act or anything, for example, you're saying it for my benefit and you wont come under any criticism for it.

Thanks for the comments. I feel much better now :D Wyzrd you crack me up. I'm unsure about finding out who did it(apart from looking at the members who visited my profile). It is anonymous for a reason, when you click a star is just adds the data to a database table and thats it. All I can do is alter my ratings, which isn't the right thing to do. Well anyway, thats guys ^_^

Perhaps an active member would have given me an active rating based on my posts. I'm bombarded with assignments at the moment and the majority of my posts have been administrative ones due to lack of time, such as posting to remind members to prefix, use the correct section, etc. So I suppose I can come off as a grouchy admin? Or something like that... I must admit though, 5 replies, I'm beginning to wonder about my reputation in my own forum :(
