I'm surprised Pol hasn't posted here yet. He loves selfies.

Sure. I'll be making those pages much cooler with time. I've said for a while they're crappy and ugly. But for advanced filtering and searching, that will take some programming and experimenting, which is time I don't have right now. Got a 3 week break from lectures in 3 weeks but there's a lot to get done before then for my studies. In 22 days now I will have done a combined 130% worth of assessments. I'll look into the .rb issue now. I finished with your Ace scripts.

>.> sorry, didn't test my code. Should be working now ^_^' Can you just move them into the main archive? Main->archive. But don't touch them yet. I gotta through and preserve the stats and links. What I'll do is setup a redirect so you'll only be able to move them in the forum view (you just check the box at the end of the row). EDIT: Yeah I'll move your topics since I'm going through and moving data across anyways.

I love it when snow closes uni. Unexpected holiday :D Yeah I've been in uni for a while now. Technically my 2 bachelor degrees takes 5 years minimum to complete so I've taken many an exam. Trouble is I'm an expert crammer. Not so used to putting in the effort for the entire time and getting really good grades. My grades are fine, but I want to finish uni strong, particularly in the key areas of my future career. Yeah I'll get onto it. Just fixed that troublesome category error. Turns out the RMXP category id being 0 isn't recognized as existing in php when you go like if($engine_id) so it just selected scripts from all engine categories.

Yeah good point, that's what I'll do. I was moving over all the scripts from the old script archive, the one's posted by "guest_someone". It's gona be a real busy time for me until next month so I'll aim to move a few in the morning or night. I've been sick for 2 weeks so been neglecting study :/

Lol. You think? I bet you've made over 50 sites. You even deleted this one when it wasn't active enough when you managed to get the old admins to listen to you. This is my only site and it's not a waste of time or money. I'm in the positive in terms of revenue and even if I wasn't the help that people have got over the years was worth it in itself.

Sounds like a good idea to me. In terms of the poll, are we voting for the idea or for your designing skills? :P

I duno why but your link keeps redirecting me here: http://www.gdunlimited.net/scripts

That makes no sense lol. The download counter is only incremented when that special link is accessed. You want points for all those scripts? :P Yeah it's not something that died with GDU, I just didn't get around to creating it. I'll remember to integrate points in at some stage but I'm not sure when because since I'm the one submitting, I'd have to add the points in manually, or write a script to give everyone their points all in one go, and if I did that, I would only ever need to do it once I'm finished adding everything in, or I code the section to buy stuff. Given my previous statements in this topic you know its quite far down the list of priorities but I can implement it any time. I think once there's more users doing stuff, then I'll add in points. That would be great :D I've given you the necessary mod powers. If you want to make a list, you can send me a PM or make a topic in the staff section and just update it. Just whatever you feel like doing will be a big help. I'm adding them all in as a guest. I figured to update them you just make a new paste. Ah yeah, I'll investigate why that's happening..

Bigace, it's ok that I made these right? http://www.gdunlimited.net/scripts/rpg-maker-xp/title-save-load-gameover-addon/ace-title-screen-simple http://www.gdunlimited.net/scripts/rpg-maker-xp/title-save-load-gameover-addon/website-launch-from-title I kinda feel bad removing your download links. Feel free to add like a support link back to the posts on your site.

Belated hello, but in the hopes of filling your inbox with post notifications, come back and post stuff!

Is it? O.o working fine in firefox and chrome. I recently remade it for the scripts section. Try refreshing the page coz you may have some cached javavscript.

I'm pleased to see so much support for the current setup :) I've made an embarrassing mistake that I somehow overlooked. If you see the above graph the blue line drops to 0 at the end, because that days stats didn't exist yet. So the RMU stats where a full 24hours down, the real stats line up like this

One month on, we have some stats where we can compare RMU and GDU. I wrote a fair bit on the theory behind our change from GDU to RMU. To summarize, GDU was masking our core subject-matter, that of RPG Maker. GDU->RMU was a change that made it obvious we're about RPG Maker and the nav made it easier to find your RPG stuff. The idea behind this was, for example, if you wanted to find RMXP resources you can get there with one click from any page on RMU (there's a link in the nav on each page), whereas for GDU it was 3 clicks. So in theory, there should be a heck load more pageviews for RMXP resources, and all the rest. Here's a comparison of the last of GDU and the first month of RMU Just for interest. What this tells me is that all my theory on the change is a bit weak. However it could still be that our visitors find us irrelevant either which way. The big one for me is pages/visit. People viewed less pages than they did on GDU. But the bounce rate means that more people tried another page at least. It's very close really. There's also a seasonal thing of course, the stats start at christmas day.

Still has tags :P I added one to this topic when I was researching how to develop my own. Perhaps some forums don't allow them. EDIT: Yeah. I'm posting the moved scripts in here: http://www.gdunlimited.net/forums/forum/95-old-script-archive/ For XP anyway. I ended up coding instead of moving them >.> It's been a year in 2 weeks since I moved the topics from the old archive. Sorta a coincidence. I added a download counter. It sums the downloads as there are multiple downloads. There are gona be updating issues as the only way to update a demo is to upload one with the same filename. Could be a noob-trap. If you delete a demo to upload another, you lose the download count. I counted bout 350 scripts posted in RGSS scripts. I'm not sure how many of those are help topics, or how many are useless with dead links, but hopefully a lot. Each script takes 5-10minutes for me I reckon. Did you notice a sneaky script comment in latest posts? Boom, integration. That'll make sure our moved scripts arn't getting ignored when people are asking for help, like our much neglected old scripts archive. Knowing this community, we'll be lucky if anyone actually uses the script editor. But we'll just chip away at this goal of completely unique scripts/tuts systems full of our all the content over the years, and perfectly integrated into the system. Hopefully that will bring traffic to form a basis for building a new community.

Oh yes I did check them last night. Here's my view on the dropbox stuff. With iframes you can put any webpage into another, but it doesn't appear like there are any links specifically for iframe's, meaning links that only show content without a website layout. You could do still sorta do it with dropbox, but one thing that really concerns is the amount of control people have over their dropbox files. People can manage all their dropbox files from their computers like their own personal files, and preserving content is obviously a big goal (one big flaw with topics) which is why I have so many upload areas like the quick upload, demo upload, tutorials assets manager, etc. This content is going to last as long as the site is live, because its stored on the server. Past bin pastes are harder to delete, especially if you don't have an account. And you don't think to yourself I'll go and delete this. Whereas you may want to cleanup your dropbox files and delete files without remembering that they're being distributed each day. I can't remember a tags system with the other scripts archive. I only coded the layout for that section using some special joomla software. I made this one last night. Obviously I make everything from scratch, with the help of JS plugins. Well, I feel like the site has a vision once more. One where I don't have to take risky sacrifices and I can chip away at the speed I want. I'll start adding some more scripts. I've got 2 more things planned: multiple-engine selection and an add-on field.

Yeah don't go and change yourself, these girls come and go. You did neglect her a bit. You probably shoulda found the time. Here's what I would do. Don't give up just yet. Be yourself and be available and show her you will be there this time, if its still no, you gotta suck it up and move on. I chased an ex once and I really needed that advice. If the answer is still no then that's it. Maybe there's a chance after that, there probably isn't, just be depressed for a while and get over it. But the sooner you get on that train to getting over it the sooner it will end. You may be faced with the option of being depressed for a certain amount of time, being depressed for a certain amount of plus the time wasted chasing her, and no option of getting back together. You gotta take the first option. But you won't, coz ppl in your situation are irrational :P

2 weeks is still pretty optimistic lol we're both pretty busy arn't we. I'm super busy for the next month since that's when I'm getting hit by all my assessments. I'll move the scripts through myself. It's a big process. Each script requires: archiving the original topic, setting up its redirect, converting posts to comments, and of course making the actual page. Takes long enough for one script.. but geez what a task. But the result is worth it, right? I've just added tags: I'm still working on the validation for you can make scripts without tags, but, each script should have one. If you could go over your submitted scripts and add a few tags that would be great. Tags are important, it's gona be really useful for members who're looking for scripts and also for us to do things like "similar scripts" sections on the page. That should be all that's needed data wise. So now I can go ahead and add the scripts into the archive, and then I'll clean up that front-end. There's a whole bunch of bugs, and its not particularly good looking, but its not a priority until people are using it.

Congrats bigace! You big... ace  The best man won, right Lizzie? Coz y'all a chick~

Can you be more specific? The green one above which doesnt show any battler used to have alternating banners that each had an RMXP battler.

With the dropbox, that's almost what I want but it's still got the dropbox header and things and isn't meant to be displayed through iframes on other websites so it wouldn't work well. Ah, I hadn't uploaded my permissions code. There's a whole bunch of files located all over the place to create a component like this. I uploaded and tested, you should be able to edit everything now. A week? Maybe if I didn't stop :P Takes a fair while coz the topics are messy, dead links, sorting through all that. 9 pages of RMXP scripts T.T I think I'll take my time and slowly move them out, as well as tutorials. I have a bit of free time. On le campus now, so I'll whip up that version history. Gona need it for scripts like this: http://www.gdunlimited.net/scripts/rpg-maker-xp/custom-movement-systems/heretic-s-caterpillar-system EDIT: Version history added, the above link is an example. I decided to have it spoilered by default, so you just type into the textarea and all that content is hidden in the spoiler as in the example above. I think I'll make an add-ons section too, but its a bit complicated coz of more uploads. I would probably need sometihng like the tutorials assets manager, and take would take a long while to set up

That's ok, don't let it happen again. Damn that was a loooong time ago. I feel so old these days. Admin'ing at 15 as cool, these days I just got so much other stuff to worry about lol

I didn't have time to look into the double section thing just yet. It's got me stumped but haven't looked into it. Here's how I did the pastebin thing Same with youtube. They provide you with the embed code, which is usually just an iframe. The iframe links to a URL, which generally contains an ID of some sort. You simply store that ID in the database, insert it into the iframe in your html markup. It's pretty much the most simple part of the whole thing. For dropbox just look for an embed link, but you don't even need that. If you can get a page that shows only the code, then we can chuck into our own iframe. Yup. Right now no one else really knows about it. It just depends. It's difficult to setup and I'm trying not to waste my time these days. So we'll see. It's not left out on purpose, obviously. Ahh thanks, changed it. You should be able to do that yourself as a scripts mod. But let me know coz with these scripts, I'm redirecting the topics to these new pages. Transfers links in the google index. Like just a textbook right and you just list the history yourself? Also, check out the comments here: http://www.gdunlimited.net/scripts/rpg-maker-xp/custom-message-systems/advanced-message-script Since I used the same table in the database for the scripts comments, I can easily transfer all the posts to the corresponding script. I'll try to integrate such posts into the latest posts, and then you'll see how this system will work. It will be completely integrated. Hopefully one day, the scripts and tut forums will be gone. That's a lot of content to transfer though.
