Actually, I think an image linking to the old domain will still display an image so long as the redirection exists on the new server. But the real reason is the gdu system has some missing stuff. The reason is more complicated, but easy to fix, so let's just some images arnt pointing to the right place because of the gdu system because the location of those images arnt in the forums directory

Except that... Since the site itself is taking over the contest, its likely judging will be done by either staff or other well-known members in the community so that members who submit their projects know that it will be judged as fairly as possible.

Why do we need to make it fairer for newer members? It's a contest and the best shall win. Lets attract talented game makers to the contest, limiting to default RTP is far too restrictive particularly where this contest is across multiple engines. I think it will decrease the number of participants. The games shouldn't be judged on their graphics because no game will make all their own sprites, they shouldn't receive credit or advantage merely because they can "find" superior graphics. On the hand, graphics can be judged on their particular usage and overall consistency with each other. So my vote is against limiting graphics. Maybe we need a poll.

It doesn't use a service in this sense. Here, you get your website hosted free but you have to use their software and you get some subdomain. You usually do not have access to all of your files. GDU on the other hand doesn't use any service in that sense. We're on a proper webhost (supplied by isaacsol) and use a PHP framework (refer to the about us page) that I used to build our own unique system that allows the forum software to plug into. My system has a lot of work before the forum's output is 100% correct, as you've noticed today with your feedback topics.

Oh, I just realized that's misleading :/ This isn't in a particular order. You could say its ordered in what I consider to be the more major sections. The games section is obviously much larger and complex than the engines section, but through practically the engine section should and probably will be the first section to be made.

What's worse, falsely accused and punished students or teen suicides? Bullies need to be punished. As long as your teacher isn't a dumbass, they should be able judge perfectly well who the problem students are. There should be systems in place for students to report bullying as well. Poor Jeffery.

Nah, Kim Dotcom will have his new website up by the end of the year (its called megabox) and there's no way the US will get their hands on him. As the video shows, this is just an attempt to keep the money coming in from hollywood. Though I must say, I have lost faith in my country over this issue. The NZ public is lied to right in front of their faces and the corruption is so obvious and yet the polls show he's barely lost any popularity. Dear the majority of NZers, you're f**king stupid and right now I have no pride in being one.

I have a lot to say about it but I'll take a different route this time. Those of us who are adults should know that suicide is an option that should never be contemplated. Killing yourself is cowardly and selfish. However clearly these kids don't know any better, they're young and stupid and obviously bullying leads to a lot of suicides. Not only do we need to teach to stop bullying and punish them proportionately, we need to educate kids that suicide is NOT the only option and not to be so stupid. I don't see what suicides getting media attention has to do with it. These are things children should be taught by their parents and in their early education by default, not when the issue gets publicity.

He's got some minor mod powers for his own posts (I hope not other's :P) and additional space. The usergroup was setup in 2007 and hasn't been changed since, so, I don't regard it as anything official and its more for recognition of winning.

Unless anyone has any issues to the contrary: The contest will be run officially by GDU and advertised and organized as such. The sign-ups and official announcement will be made in November approximately 2 weeks before the official start date in late November. This topic will serve as a draft for the rules which will be finalized before the official announcement and set in stone at the time of the official start date. Sound good?

That guy's funneh :D Well lets not drag this on too much. I have to defend Saltome here. He made one post that he probably regrets in response to a post that looked shady but just happened to be perfectly legit. That happens. Lets not forget that this in light of our good friend railfan being a wee bit too sensitive to the situation (no offense). I'm not saying I'm taking sides, Saltome just made an apology and its clear to me he never had an intention to attack anyone, so lets forget about the whole incident. It's not a big deal unless you make it one, and I expect railfan to accept the apology.
